Complete Playground | New York City (Nonprofit)

Complete Playground is expanding. We currently operate a successful inclusive children’s center in Lower Manhattan and are now evolving it into a larger children’s science museum and family discovery destination for children and families of all abilities.

We’re hiring an entrepreneurial, highly organized professional to work directly with the Founder/CEO and help drive this next phase of growth — turning ideas, relationships, and opportunities into completed initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and develop relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and strategic partners
  • Help drive fundraising initiatives from outreach through proposals, meetings, follow-up, and closing
  • Research and pursue new sponsorship, fundraising, and partnership opportunities
  • Take ownership of the follow-through on ideas, relationships, and opportunities initiated by the Founder and drive them forward
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, sponsorship materials, and donor communications
  • Coordinate special projects tied to the organization’s growth and expansion
About the Role

This is a development and partnerships role, not an administrative one. The work is primarily external-facing: building relationships, raising money, and moving initiatives to completion with limited supervision. A small amount of scheduling and travel coordination comes with working closely with the Founder, but it is a minor part of the job.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven fundraising, sponsorship, donor development, or strategic partnership experience (required)
  • An established network within New York’s corporate, foundation, or philanthropic community is strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship-building, writing, communication, and follow-through skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment
  • Nonprofit development, corporate partnership, museum, or cultural institution experience is a plus
  • Passion for creating meaningful impact for children and families of all abilities
Compensation

$70,000–$80,000 base salary, commensurate with experience, plus discretionary bonus based on overall organizational milestones and performance.

Join the Founder in scaling a high-impact nonprofit already serving families in New York City.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
